Shem Women's Group USA is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are 100% tax deductible!

Where will this money go?
You can give to the entire group or you can select an individual project. In the event that your chosen project is funded by an donor organization, your money will be used toward another current Shem project. Due to Chinese bank requirements, you currently only have the option of contributing directly to our financial manager, La Mao Cuo, until Shem is able to register its' own bank account.

How will my money be used?
Donations to Shem Women's Group will be used in two ways:
First, donations will be used to fund Shem's projects, and go directly to the Tibetan communities described on our projects page.
Second, donations will be used towards the training of future Shem members. We believe in sustainability, which means tapping the expertise of a growing number of educated Tibetan women. Your donation will help fund Shem's grassroots development workshop, a training program which prepares educated Tibetan women to design, manage, and implement small-scale development projects in their Tibetan communities.
