Lha skyid sgrul ma is from Jiara Village, Xindu Township, Luohuo County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and PRC. She is currently working towards associated degree in English Training Program, Qinghai Normal University
What: To provide 30 solar flashlights to 30 females and 20 flashlights to males (including 6 monks) in Xindu Township order to improve their living condition.
Project Location
There are several villages, such as Jiara, Guotuo, and Cawa, but the main village is Jiara village. Thos three villages are located in Xindu Township, Luohuo County, Ganzi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and PRC
Brief Description of Implementation
The project manager has implemented the project in the middle of January in 2009. There were 50 solar flashlights and she distributed them to several villages (Jiara, Guotuo, and Cawa), but the main village is Jiara.
The project manager distributed the solar flashlights to the villagers especially who are older and handicapped. She gave a clear explanation to the beneficiaries of this project how to use solar flashlight while she distributed the solar flashlights. The villagers were very happy about the flashlights because they did not need to pay any money for solar flashlights; also it is very convenient for doing some work at night.

The man in the picture is bSod ngms bgra shis and he is 71 years old. He doesn’t have any children. His family’s living condition is not good because an earthquake destroyed his family when he was young. Due to family condition and his age, his eyesight is becoming worse and worse and he has no money to get a treatment for his eyesight.
This is another beneficiary of the solar flashlight project and the project manager (girl) is explaining the usage of the solar flashlight to him.
The man in the picture is Ni Ma Zha Xi，he is 36 years old. His parents abandoned him when he was small. From then on, one of the villagers raise him up but the villager passed away and the man got mental problem, but not often.
The solar flashlight project was implemented while I implemented the clothes project. In this picture, the villagers are receiving the second-hand clothes and the solar flashlights.

The solar flashlight is just a small thing but it is very helpful and useful for us. It is very convenient and light when we do our work at night; also we don’t need to pay any money for batteries.
